This Privacy Policy explains how AskSimon collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you use the app and website.

Face Data We Process
When you choose a portrait or use the camera, AskSimon processes the visible face image and scan-quality data derived from it, including face-presence status, framing and clarity scores, face bounds, eye-open probability, yaw and roll angles, and facial landmark coordinates used to align beauty effects.
Live Beauty Controls normally calculate facial landmarks and segmentation masks only on your device. Segmentation masks are not uploaded or stored. If you choose to create or save a Beauty Record, the selected portrait, scan-quality metadata, and cached facial landmark coordinates may be uploaded and attached to that private record.
AskSimon does not create or collect Apple Face ID data, faceprints, identity embeddings, or biometric identifiers, and does not use face data to identify or authenticate anyone.
How We Use Face Data
Face data is used only to check photo quality, select a usable frame, align user-requested beauty effects, create private Beauty Records, and generate the makeup, color, retouch, or creative portrait result you request.
Face data is not used for identity verification, real-name authentication, advertising, tracking, sale, eligibility decisions, public display, or training an identity-recognition model.
Face Data Sharing and Storage
Private saved portraits, scan-quality metadata, and cached landmark coordinates are stored in AskSimon application storage hosted on our Google Cloud production server. They are not public unless you separately choose to publish a finished image to a community feature; raw scan-quality data and landmark coordinates are never published.
When you tap Generate for an AI feature, AskSimon sends a compressed copy of the selected portrait and the parameters needed for that request to Alibaba Cloud DashScope Qwen for AI processing. Google Cloud provides AskSimon hosting and private application storage; Alibaba Cloud DashScope provides request-time AI processing. AskSimon does not sell this data or share it with advertisers or data brokers, and does not authorize either provider to use it for advertising, public display, or identity recognition.
Face Data Retention and Deletion
On-device face landmarks and segmentation masks are discarded when the live camera or editor session ends, except that cached landmark coordinates may be saved with a Beauty Record as described above.
Unselected temporary scan frames are deleted when a selected record is finalized. If a scan is abandoned or interrupted, its temporary server frames are deleted no later than 24 hours after upload. Optional reference-makeup images expire after 24 hours and are deleted during routine cleanup.
A private saved portrait, its cached landmarks, and its generated result remain until you delete the related Beauty Record or delete your account. Beauty Record history is also automatically limited to the 10 most recent records for a standard account and the 30 most recent records for a Pro account; older records and their files are deleted.
You can delete an individual Beauty Record in the app. You can also delete your account in the profile dashboard; account deletion removes your profile, private portraits, cached landmarks, generated results, saved data, and linked community content from AskSimon’s active service, except limited records that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
Other Information
We collect account information such as email, username, nickname, optional profile details, and authentication data. Community features may include optional profiles, avatars, posts, replies, reports, and block events.
AskSimon Plus Monthly is processed through Apple App Store in-app purchase. Apple handles payment information and subscription management through your Apple ID.
